FEMI OTEDOLA, a notable businessman and key player in Nigeria’s oil industry, and Chairman, Forte Oil, personally visited Christian Chukwu, former Super Eagles Coach, in his sick bed at Wellington Hospital, Circus Road, St. John’s Woods in London, and assured that payment of the bills for his treatment and post-medical would not be an impediment to his treatment.

Otedola had earlier contributed $50,000 for his treatment.  His visit to Chukwu in his treatment facility in London, was a further demonstration of goodness in his support for Chukwu’s recovery. In Otedola’s company during the visit was Amaju Pinnick, President, Nigerian Football Federation, NFF.

“I want to thank you for your effort regarding the medical attention to our beloved ‘Chairman’. Please continue to do your best. I want to say here and now, and for the avoidance of doubt, that money will not be an impediment to his treatment”, the Philanthropist told the medical team caring for Chukwu. The commitment was made in the presence of Chukwu’s wife, Lilian.

Otedola also ensured that Christian Chukwu’s treatment was in safe hands. Renowned Urologist, Dr. Leye Ajayi, consultant to Otedola’s late father, Michael Otedola; Dr. Katherine Piggott, Uncologist, and Dr. Evadney Keith, Cardiologist are the medical team caring for Christian Chukwu.

Christian Chukwu is a Nigerian football legend. He was the captain of Nigeria’s Super Eagles 1980 African Cup of Nations winning team.  Captain of Enugu Rangers, and coached the Super Eagles between 2002-2005.

Christian Chukwu, arrived London last Thursday, in company of his wife Lilian for medical treatment.
