A NEW ACCOUNT, known as “UBA Bumper Account”, has been launched, by United Bank for Africa, UBA, a leading pan-African financial services group, headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, to stimulate savings culture, create superior values for its stakeholders and transform the lives of its customers.
Holders of the account would have the opportunity to win cash prizes of up to N2 million, according to a statement by Ramon Nasir, Head, External & Media Relations.
Jude Anele, Group Head, Retail Banking, said the “UBA Bumper Account” was created with the customer in mind. “We have in recent times deepened our focus on the most important aspect of our business – the customers we serve, the statement noted.
The “Bumper Account” will deliver improved value to stakeholders. UBA has made huge investment in technology to make banking easier and seamless. New and existing customers of the bank would ensure they had minimum deposit of N5,000 in their “Bumper Account” to be eligible for the draws, Anele further stated.
He said a total of 100 customers will emerge winners at live draws of the “Bumper Account”. The lucky customers would win from N10,000 to N2million each, in the monthly, quarterly and targeted draws. And a monthly shopping allowance of N100,000, for a year, will be up for grabs.
Anele said: “No fewer than 50 account holders will get a whopping two million naira each across all participating regions. This account is open to both existing and new customers of the bank who save a minimum of N5,000.”
It is not certain if the booty is extended to customers in other countries, given that UBA, is one of Africa’s best and most resilient banking Groups, with operations in 20 African countries and offices in three global financial centers – London, Paris and New York.
